Red Wolf Renaissance Fair is creating a day of merriment in recognition of the purposed American Red Wolf Conservation and Research Center at Craighead Forest Park. The 5-million-dollar center would serve as an ecotourism center, attracting visitors from all over the region. Our goal is to raise awareness for the ARWCRC, showcase the Jonesboro, AR community, and to create a fun-filled family event!
The American Red Wolf Conservation and Research Center will provide secure enclosures capable of housing 12 or more red wolves. Once native to the entire Southeastern United States, about 15 to 17 wild red wolves remain today, found only along the coast of North Carolina. Additionally, about 241 individuals are managed in captive breeding programs under the American Red Wolf Species Survival Plan according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Arkansas Revelry for Red Wolf Recovery! Your support and contributions will enable us to create a renaissance fair in Jonesboro, AR and to raise funds for the American Red Wolf. Carryover funds will be directed towards the ARWCRC, or a red wolf affiliated non-profit.
